Like many other small businesses (including restaurants), we have to have a cancellation policy in place. Cancellation policies are not personal, and unfortunately apply to all, regardless of reason. IWK's cancellation policy is on our website, booking page, appointment confirmation emails, reminders and texts.
To respect our client's time, appointment reminders are sent 96 hours in advance to ensure there is plenty of time to make changes if need be, free of charge. The 48 hours prior to an appointment is not sufficient to fill the appointment that has been reserved for weeks in advance, as other clients need time to rearrange their schedules and commitments. For this reason, there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the booking for any changes made within the 24-48hr period, and for changes within 0-24hrs, a full fee is charged.
If we are able to fill the spot, we inform our client, and the cancellation fee will be refunded/waived. We are not out to double-book and make money from cancellations! We simply wish to cover the lost appointment and running costs.
The deposit is non-refundable, and is transferable to a new booking time only if notice is provided prior to the commencement of the 48 hour period before the appointment.
